Hoya 58mm R72 INFRARED

Designed for both digital cameras and infrared film, the Hoya R72 Infrared Filter opens up a world of creative photography by blocking visible light and transmitting only the infrared spectrum. This allows you to capture ethereal, high-contrast black-and-white images where foliage appears bright white, skies turn dramatic and dark, and ordinary landscapes take on a surreal, dreamlike quality. Whether you are shooting long exposures on a tripod or experimenting with live-view focusing, this filter is an essential tool for any photographer wanting to explore beyond visible light.

- Blocks virtually all visible light below 720nm, transmitting infrared wavelengths for true IR effects

- Precision-ground optical glass with a durable metal ring to prevent light leakage

- Simple screw-on design fits standard 58mm lens threads for quick installation and removal

- Compatible with most digital cameras that have an IR-sensitive sensor and with specialist infrared film

- Ideal for dramatic landscape, architectural, and fine-art infrared photography

- Neutral density effect requires longer exposures, making it perfect for tripod-based creative work

A reliable and high-quality filter for unlocking the hidden infrared world in your images.
