Hoya 77MM R72 INFRARED

The Hoya R72 Infrared filter is designed to unlock the creative potential of infrared photography by blocking visible light and allowing only infrared wavelengths to reach your camera sensor or film. This enables you to capture striking, ethereal images with bright white foliage, dark dramatic skies, and an otherworldly atmosphere that standard photography cannot achieve. Whether you are using a digital camera modified for infrared or dedicated infrared film, this filter provides a reliable and cost effective entry point into infrared imaging.

- 77mm thread size fits a wide range of standard camera lenses

- Cuts off visible light at approximately 720nm, transmitting infrared wavelengths beyond

- Solid optical glass construction ensures image clarity and long lasting durability

- Compatible with both digital cameras (manual or long exposure modes) and infrared film

- Produces high contrast black and white or false colour infrared effects with post processing

- Requires longer exposure times; tripod and remote release recommended for best results

Achieve stunning, dreamlike infrared images with the Hoya R72 filter and discover a hidden world of light.
