Hoya Infrared R72 58mm Infrared Camera Filter

The Hoya R72 Infrared filter is your essential tool for unlocking the creative potential of infrared photography. By blocking visible light and transmitting only infrared wavelengths, this filter allows you to capture dreamlike landscapes with ethereal white foliage, dramatic black skies, and stunning contrast that standard photography cannot achieve. Whether you are using a digital camera modified for IR or traditional infrared film, this filter delivers the classic infrared look straight from your lens.

- Blocks nearly all visible light below 720nm, passing only infrared wavelengths

- High-quality optical glass with precise polishing for sharp, distortion-free images

- Dual-threaded aluminium ring for secure mounting and compatibility with lens caps and hoods

- Designed for 58mm filter thread lenses, ideal for many DSLR and mirrorless cameras

- Enhances contrast and creates the signature "wood effect" in foliage

- Works with both digital cameras (with IR sensitivity) and infrared film stocks

- Durable construction with a slim profile to minimise vignetting on wide-angle lenses

Add the Hoya R72 to your camera bag and transform ordinary scenes into extraordinary infrared masterpieces.
