Shimano PD-ED500 Light Action SPD Pedals - Black

Designed for leisure cycling, these Shimano PD-ED500 pedals make clipping in and out easier than ever. The Light Action SPD mechanism offers a noticeably lower release tension than standard SPD pedals, so you can disengage with minimal effort. This is ideal for riders who want the efficiency of clipless pedals but prefer less resistance, whether you are navigating city traffic, enjoying a gentle ride along the towpath, or building your confidence with clipless systems. The pedal body features a durable composite construction that keeps weight low while maintaining strength, and the sealed cartridge bearing ensures smooth, reliable rotation even in wet or muddy conditions.

- Double-sided entry for fast and easy engagement from either side

- Light Action release spring reduces the force needed to unclip

- Composite body for a balance of low weight and long-lasting durability

- Sealed cartridge bearing protects against dirt and moisture

- Cleats included (SM-SH56 multi-release cleats) for added safety when pulling up

- Compatible with all standard SPD shoes

Whether you are new to clipless pedals or simply prefer a gentler click in and out, the PD-ED500 offers effortless control and dependable performance for everyday adventures.
